The auxiliary starter can be installed in the vehicle chassis or in the battery box assembly.
The auxiliary starter is the extended plus pole of the battery. It is used as the point where the positive starter cable can be connected to help start the vehicle. It can also be used as the point where the positive charger cable can be connected to charge the battery. It can be used in a system with 12 – 24V nominal voltage. It shall tolerate a current of 2000A at 24V in 0,25 seconds and 750A in 13 seconds.
The auxiliary starter is designed for operation in the environment which a heavy-duty vehicle is exposed to. It has a robust design for the hard environmental and mechanical conditions of the vehicle chassis. Its fully functional over an ambient temperature range of -40⁰C to +85⁰C.
A variant of the auxiliary starter has a switch attached to indicate the status of if the lid is OPEN/CLOSED.
The auxiliary starter is designed to loosen from its bracket and move inside the vehicle chassis to avoid the exposing of the conducting material from its inside.
