Electrification is one of the trends not only just for passenger cars but also for commercial vehicles as well. Together with our supplier, AK (Apparatebau Kirchheim-Tech) we are ready to gear up and create modular power distribution solutions for tomorrow’s commercial vehicles.

We have long experience working with the traditional 12/24VDC solutions. Past years the development from traditional 12/24VDC to electrification with high voltage solutions in the field of commercial vehicles have taken big steps forward. Thankfully, we have long relationship working closely with AK and have now a common focus at the modular power distribution and more consolidate power distribution with so called PDU’s, Power Distribution Units  We do electrification projects for the large OEM’s. By using a standard housings and components, customers can choose by themselves which modules they want to for their vehicle. For example, it can be a combination of centralized and de-centralized power distribution.

Active Power Distribution Boxes with Build-in Intelligence

We offer both passive and active PDU’s. Active power distribution boxes include build-in intelligence to monitor the power streams, their direction and status. These modules are available in various of standards, tailored for customers specific needs, for example complete with EMC-protection or communication interface. With module system we have created and own standard which makes the solution more sustainable and effective for our customers.

It can be difficult to find the design you are looking for among the standard solutions. With these modules we can solve that problem since we increase the number of parameters that we can customize. That means, that we do not need to create a new set of tools for updates, so our customers can update their PDU’s without needing to invest in new tools.

Profit for the customer is large since we can use these standardised housings and only change the components. We always follow IATF 16949 in our production- and development process, both when working with standard components as well in projects that involves customized designs.

Electrification of the field of commercial vehicles comes with both economical and environmental profits. Different markets have their unique needs and we, together with AK, work closely with the customer from the very first state of the project. When being a part of the development process from the early stage, from when evaluation and RFI (request for information) are made, we have possibility to share valuable information about the solutions and to offer the best technical and commercial fit. Our flexibility and selection of components from standard to customized makes it possible to us to be part of all types of projects, from small to large.
